This time last year we were in France, at the beginning of my research trip for The Once and Future Camelot, that would take me from Brittany to the lands of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II and then back to England for more research and some intensive writing. It’s been a full on but wonderful year, culminating in the publication of my book – many thanks to Momentum/Pan Macmillan. Along the way we visited the wonderful Mont St Michel
, saw the amazing Apocalypse Tapestries at the castle at Angers
and the beautiful cathedral
and castle at Poitiers, home of Eleanor of Aquitaine.
We also visited the ancient tomb of St Radegunde, all of which I write about in my new novel. More pix in my next blog – watch this space!
