I’ve been out of action lately having a knee replacement followed by two weeks in rehab learning how to use my new knee.  Very grateful to Dr Dickison and the staff at Manly Waters rehab hospital. And it was a wonderful surprise today to read a really lovely review of the first novel in my Shalott trilogy, Shalott: Into the Unknown, in the latest edition of The Tawny Frogmouth, our local monthly news magazine.  I particularly enjoyed being compared with Diana Gabaldon (wow!) but also appreciated the comment from reviewer ‘Paige Turner’ that the issues and themes I’ve explored in my novels are timeless, and still resonate with teenagers today. Writing the trilogy was a real leap of the imagination, and I loved exploring the world of King Arthur and finding new interpretations of this ancient legend.
