I’m busy preparing a couple of creative writing workshops which are coming up within the next few weeks at the fabulous Harry Hartog Bookshop at Warringah Mall, Brookvale in Sydney. The first is Writing Fantasy for Kids (A Call to Adventure) which will focus on creating an ‘otherworld’, with strong, believable characters, fantastic creatures and magical objects in order to solve a quest – so I’m hoping that’s going to be a whole lot of fun as writing fantasy always gives kids permission to let their imaginations run wild! The workshop is on Thursday 26th April from 10.30 – 12, and I’ll be around to meet and greet, and sign books afterwards. The second workshop is about ‘writing your life’; that’s in May and I’ll talk more about it in a future blog. The workshop is FREE, but bookings are essential: go to www.harryhartog.com.au/events/kids-fantasy-writing-workshop-with-Felicity-Pulman to make a booking.
