Have had a quiet weekend after spending an amazing week giving students from Years 1 – 6 at Lindfield P/S something of a crash course in writing fantasy – a subject very close to my heart! My thanks to all the staff who made me so welcome, and to all the students for their enthusiasm and their truly terrific ideas. I’m sure that some wonderful short stories will come out of this exercise – and I would say that several of the participants may go on to become best-selling novelists in the years to come!
