I hope you’ve all enjoyed the break over Christmas, and that 2009 is going to be a great year for all of us. 2009 has started on a high note for me with the launch of my new book, Turning the Page, part of the Making Tracks series published by the National Museum of Australia. Turning the Page tells the story of Maggie, a young girl living on a sheep station in the 1850s, who gets into all sorts of trouble when she tries to teach herself how to read and write. The book is being launched at the SCBWI conference in Sydney on Sunday, February 1st, along with another book in the Making Tracks series: Daisy Sunshine by Susanne Gervay. All welcome, and it would be lovely to see you if you can come. Please see my website for details.
