I’m looking forward to learning some of the secrets of The Imperial Harem of the Ottoman Sultans at our next (Christmas) meeting of the Plantagenet History Society on Saturday 19th November from 2 – 4 pm at Turramurra Uniting Church in Sydney. $5 door charge for the talk and a delicious afternoon tea. Guest speaker is author Cindy Broadbent, who spent some time in Turkey teaching English, and who has worked as a freelance writer, teacher and tour guide both in Turkey and in Australia. Her first two novels, The Afghan Wife and The Revolutionary’s Cousin are set in Iran, USA and Australia, and are published by Odyssey Books.
